Read about PinPointers
PinPointers offer well-designed strategy and innovation processes that help your business achieve new growth. Since 2005, we have helped medium-sized companies and large corporations across cultures – primarily in Scandinavia, UK, US and the German markets – develop and implement new business strategies. The skill of designing and facilitating strategy development processes was developed in the German consultancy KMC Consultants combined with years of experience in top management positions in the IT industry.
In 2006, PinPointers used the Business Model Canvas for the first time in strategy development as a tool to add new perspectives and creativity to the strategy development process – it worked perfectly!
Being the first ever to use the Business Model Canvas as a tool in strategy development, a close relationship developed to its creator – Alexander Osterwalder. In 2007, Alex filmed a young Michael and Niels Erik talking enthusiastically about their learnings:
In 2008, when Niels Erik left PinPointers, Michael decided to combine the work in PinPointers with a role as part time entrepreneur in the software company Configit, which later became one of Denmark's fastest growing and most successful software companies. When Configit was acquired by the Nordic private equity company Polaris in 2016, Michael again turned his focus to PinPointers and his cooperation with Alexander Osterwalder.
As an experienced practitioner in business model innovation, Michael provided input to “Business Model Generation” (Wiley 2010), becoming a co-author of this bestselling management book.
The cooperation with Alexander Osterwalder and Strategyzer developed and was formalized with the creation of the Strategyzer Advisory Group when six of the most experienced practitioners in strategy and innovation joined forces: Tendayi Viki, Greg Bernarda, Christian Doll, Fred Etiemble, Paris Thomas and Michael himself.

Participants in one of our workshops
Recently, we started a new chapter in our business. After many years of helping private and public companies define and achieve new goals, we began developing a new concept: Mission Model Canvas.
The Mission Model Canvas is intended for organizations that are not driven by profit but by a mission. We call them mission-driven organizations and they include NGOs, public institutions as well as corporate cost centers. The Mission Model Canvas will help mission-driven organizations become more successful in what they do.
